At The Book Jar, husband and wife team Jeff and Juliana Rotmeyer publish a range of story books as well as producing toys and clothing to go along with their imaginative tales. And if the stories of Riley the rabbit, Phenella the elephant and Lila Moore and her Secret Flyers Club weren’t appealing enough, all of the company’s net profits go to The LOVE 21 Foundation, which helps provide sports training, art classes, social events and nutrition advice for those suffering from Down’s Syndrome in Hong Kong.
As well as book sets, which include storybooks and a drawing book, and individual stories, there are t-shirts featuring Riley and Phenella, cute skirts for the girls, travel boxes, dolls and pens to accompany the tales, and all for a good cause.
The Secret Flyers Club series of books featuring Lila Moore targets 3 to 8 year olds, while the Phenella series is aimed at 1 to 5 year olds.
Books are printed with environmentally friendly soy ink and The Book Jar offers free international shipping.
