The first of its kind, Art For Everyone @HKMoA is a city-wide art campaign that will see artwork from the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) displayed across Hong Kong’s 18 districts. With the goal of bringing art to everyone throughout the entire city, 100 pieces will be chosen from HKMoA’s collection and showcased on over 260 billboards, digital displays, and transport hubs in both outdoor and indoor spaces. The artwork will be on display between March 23 and May 23, 2021.
This novel idea is being held to honor the 30th anniversary of Friends of Hong Kong Museum of Art, a non-profit organization created to aid and promote the activities of HKMoA.
The most exciting part of this creative venture will be seeing people’s curiosity and hopefully positive reactions at seeing works of art in wholly unexpected places and hoping that this sparks inspiration in the course of daily life. Four core collections from the Museum are represented in the 100 images and these include Chinese Antiquities, Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, China Trade Art, and Modern and Hong Kong Art.
