Matilda The Musical is the multi-award winning musical from the Royal Shakespeare Company, inspired by the beloved book by the incomparable Roald Dahl, in coming to our shores! The musical follows a young intelligent rascal named Matilda who navigates the chaos of childhood by steering the wheel determinedly by herself to be the master of her own faith. It’s a celebration of complexities and bravery, of imagination and big-heartedness and the mess and humor of it all. Denis Kelly and Tim Minchin gave Roald Dahl’s iconic story a new (musical) twist, honoring the original but going further by digging into its previously uncovered depths and writing original music and lyrics to breathe extra joy into it, respectively.
