Here is a testimonial from Zara Khan, Class of 2023: "Choosing to take both AP and IB classes, my time at Stamford American shaped me as a person, pushed me out of my comfort zone, and developed my leadership skills. I engaged in extracurricular activities such as being the chair of the Athletics Council, captain of the U19 touch rugby team, and founder of the iBusiness club. As a blended pathway student, I was given the opportunity to choose academically challenging classes that will help me in college."
As one of the top international schools in Singapore, SAIS is known for its international-mindedness and inclusivity, with a diverse community made up of 79 nationalities. What does "inclusion" mean at SAIS? That each individual student can be recognized, accepted and respected by teachers and classmates in the school.
This enables students to conduct personalized learning based on their cultural background, beliefs, personality characteristics, and talents, so they can gain a sense of belonging and maximize their development at school. To further promote tolerance, they organize activities where students, parents, and teachers from different cultures and backgrounds can mingle. To promote good mental health, they host an R U Ok Day. Check out the videos here and here to find out more!
