Five Guys Just Launched Its First Kids Meal In Hong Kong!

Kids Burger Or Kids Dog: Which Should You Order?

For 40 years, Five Guys has barely touched the menu the Murrell family wrote in Arlington, Virginia back in 1986. Burgers, dogs, fries, shakes. That’s it. A dedicated kids meal never made the cut.

That changes in the brand’s 40th anniversary year, and Hong Kong is among the first markets in the world to serve it.

The new Kids Meal is designed for children aged 12 and under, and it’s available now for dine-in, collection, and delivery at Five Guys restaurants across the city. Just don’t expect a toy-and-nugget box. This is a smaller version of the same made-to-order food adults already queue for: fresh beef, potatoes cut that morning, and nothing hitting the grill until your ticket prints.

One important note before you go: Five Guys cooks all of its fries in 100% peanut oil, so the Kids Meal is not suitable for children with peanut allergies. If that’s your family, speak to staff at the counter before ordering.

What’s Actually In It?

Kids Burger — HK$85: A little hamburger with a 100g patty, hand-formed in store from fresh beef at Five Guys’ signature 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio. Cooked to order on the flat-top, so it’s done through but still juicy.

Kids Dog — HK$80: An all-beef hot dog, split and grilled butterfly-style so the cut edges caramelise.

Both come with a portion of mini fries — salted or Cajun — cut from whole potatoes in store. To drink, pick Minute Maid Qoo juice in orange or apple, or a bottle of still water. Then let the kids choose their own sauces at the counter: ketchup, mayo, mustard, or BBQ, all included at no extra charge.

The essentials at a glance:

  • Available now at Five Guys Hong Kong — dine-in, collection, and delivery
  • For children aged 12 and under
  • Same fresh, made-to-order kitchen as the adult menu
  • Hong Kong is one of the first cities globally to serve Five Guys’ first-ever kids’ meal

Why Little Steps Loves It:

Five Guys built its name on a short list of non-negotiables, and the kids menu follows every one of them. No freezers, no microwaves, no heat lamps. Patties are hand-formed on site daily. Fries are cut from whole potatoes, soaked, and double-fried in 100% peanut oil. Buns are baked daily and toasted on their own grill. In other words, this isn't a cheaper, separate product line for children. It's a smaller ticket off the same grill — which is great news if you're feeding a picky eater who will only accept a "real" burger. The trade-off: made-to-order genuinely means made to order. Budget the wait.

Who It's Perfect For:
