Visiting Temple Brahma Vihara Arama Banjar In North Bali

Bali's Only Buddhist Temple

Culture-vultures, delight in a trip to Bali’s only Buddhist monastery, Brahma Asrama Vihara! Just 15 minutes from Lovina in North Bali, a visit to Brahm Asrama Vihara is the perfect way to enjoy some culture and religion together in a simple and fun way.

Grab a sarong at the entrance, and begin to walk along a pond where you’ll see colorful offerings on several altars. From the gold and red stupa, you and the kiddos can look out over the Bali Sea – gorgeous! Heading further up to the main temple, you will pass a meditating Budhha under a tree, and then passing the meditation square, you can take in it’s serene surroundings of the North Bali hills. Don’t miss the meditation room with it’s bas reliefs underneath the temple!

This is the perfect little adventure with kids, offering all of the elements to teach them a bit about Buddhism in a playful way. Kids of all ages will enjoy wondering around freely while you keep track of them and impart a little culture at the same time!

You may leave a donation upon returning your sarong.
