Zoo-m Explorer Camp By Singapore Zoo

While much of the country is reopening, the majority of holiday and weekend camps are either closed or severely restricted. Even if there is an opportunity to send kids to summer camp, many parents aren’t comfortable with doing so in the midst of COVID-19. Virtual camps won’t replace the real thing, but they offer structure and socialization for kids and a much-needed break for parents.

Looking for school holiday programs to engage the children? Now they can take part in this virtual camp from the safety and comfort of home through Zoo-m Explorer Camp organized by Singapore Zoo. It will bring children together via video chat to connect with one another, learn new things, and get some of that playtime they’ve been missing. Learn about the wildlife from experienced educators, and engage in new, structured activities.

Zoo-m Explorer Camp: Animal Senses (for ages 6 to 9)

When: July 20 & 23, 2020 from 10am – 11:15am

Where: Facilitated live over Zoom

African painted dogs have a powerful nose for sniffing, rhinoceroses have incredible hearing, and lions have superb eyesight. In this virtual camp, participants will explore the world of animals and sharpen their own senses through interactive activities, sense-based scavenger hunts, movement games, and more. They also get to hone critical thinking skills by practicing the ‘See Think Wonder’ routine.

Zoo-m Explorer Camp: Wild Careers (for ages 10 to 12)

When: July 20 & 23, 2020 from 1:30pm – 3pm

Where: Facilitated live over Zoom

Always wanted to know what it takes to work in the Zoo? Start here! In this camp, participants will explore our parks virtually, meet our animals, and the important people who take care of them. Through interactive activities and fun, collaborative learning, participants will gain insights into the world of wildlife-related careers.
