Act 3 Theatre Events For Children 2019

ACT 3 International was set up in 1994 with the intention of furthering its vision beyond the Singapore shores to touch the lives of the kids through the Arts.  Throughout the year, they offer a slew of amazing theatre shows for kids in Singapore as well as workshops and events.

Upcoming Events At Act 3 In Singapore:

1. The Box Drama Excursion

When: January 14 – May 31, 2019.

Kids will explore their imagination with a simple cardboard box – no gadgets or technologies will be used in this workshop.

2. Giraffes Can’t Dance

When: July 1 – November 15, 2019

Kids will not be judged for imagining themselves as tall, elegant giraffes dancing in the jungles of Africa in this workshop. They can dance to the music of their hearts and not be laughed at. Through the use of basic drama skills such as role play, mime and improvisation, kids will bring the “little giraffes” on a melodic and rhythmic adventure to let the music take over their minds and hearts and create a dramatic dance piece of their very own!

3.  SEEDS *for kids ages 8-10

When: June 3 to 28, 2019.

Do you really think that the grass is really greener on the other side! Or is it greener where you water it? Inspired by The Enormous Turnip and set to familiar tunes and snazzy lyrics, Seeds is a family-friendly musical complete with laughter, mystery and magic! Be inspired by big dreams, hopes and magical turnip seeds in this musical. Follow the journey of three farmers who only have one desire and that is to become rich, cool and famous so they never ever have to farm again. But after stumbling across a mysterious stranger, their worlds turn upside down and all around! Maybe a bowl of turnip soup is all they need.

4.  Up, Down, Turn Around Performative Workshop

When: June 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29, 2019

Enjoy and learn the art of growing together with the different plants up, down and all around with the help of the bright yellow sun, the rain, and lots of love and care in this multi-sensorial performative workshop.
