Krabi is one of the easiest beach holidays from anywhere in Asia, and its best resorts know exactly what families need. These six cover every budget and style, from private pool villas with a kids’ water park to a 400-meter lagoon pool and a boat-access hideaway on Railay.
Getting there is easy too. From Singapore, Scoot flies direct to Krabi in about two hours. From Hong Kong there are no direct flights right now, so connect through Bangkok for the short hop down to Krabi. Most resorts below are 30-50 minutes’ drive from Krabi International Airport.

Quick Picks: The Best Family Resorts In Krabi
Banyan Tree Krabi is the pick if you want luxury without giving up the fun stuff. All 72 suites and villas have a private pool, and Tubkaek Beach has calm, shallow water for little swimmers.
The Kids’ Club (8am-6pm daily) sits inside a mini water park with a winding slide, shallow saltwater pools and a Naga-themed cave to explore. Bigger families can book a Two-Bedroom Beachfront Pool Villa, or the Presidential Beachfront Pool Villa, which sleeps six. Kids’ menus are available at every restaurant and through in-villa dining, so early dinners are easy.

The new Raya Kids’ Club opened in April 2026 and runs 8am-5pm daily, with Thai culture workshops, tennis and soccer clinics, plus movie time when everyone needs a breather. Families can book Family Pavilions, including some with their own pool. Book your boat transfer at least 24 hours ahead or you’ll pay extra for a private one.

Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve was the world’s first Ritz-Carlton Reserve when it opened in 2009, and it’s still one of Krabi’s most private stays. There’s no lobby. Your butler checks you in at your villa.
With just 54 villas and pavilions, it never feels crowded. Villas come with private pools, and kids get their own club and an outdoor playground. Your butler can sort everything from high chairs to an early dinner. For a family half-day out, ask the team to book a boat trip to Koh Hong for snorkeling.

The Kids’ Club was redesigned around The Little Prince in January 2026 and runs 8am-6pm daily for kids 12 and under, with a weekly program of crafts, games and quiet time. Evenings bring a Sunset Foam Party by the pool. There’s also a nine-hole golf course, a tennis court and what the resort calls Krabi’s first padel court (THB 800++ per person an hour, racket included), open daily 7am-10pm.

It depends on the area and room type. Luxury stays like Rayavadee and Phulay Bay start from around US$400 a night, while beachfront five-stars on Klong Muang have averaged around THB 6,600 a night. Rates jump over Christmas and New Year, so book early.
Banyan Tree Krabi has a kids' club inside a mini water park with a slide. Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra runs a Little Prince-themed club for kids 12 and under, 8am-6pm daily. Rayavadee opened its Raya Kids' Club in April 2026.
Ao Nang suits families who want restaurants and boat trips within walking distance. Klong Muang and Tubkaek are quieter, with calmer beaches and bigger resorts. Railay is car-free and only reachable by boat, which kids love but means packing light.
By boat only. Rayavadee runs scheduled speedboat transfers from the mainland, but you must book at least 24 hours ahead. Without a booking, you'll pay extra for a private transfer. Airport transfers to the pier are charged separately.
Most family resorts are 30-50 minutes by car from Krabi International Airport. Ao Nang is the closest, while Tubkaek resorts like Banyan Tree are around 50 minutes. Most resorts can arrange paid airport transfers if you book in advance.
