When former banker and new mother, Yin, first had her baby boy she couldn’t believe the all-reaching usefulness of the muslin cloth, using it as a swaddle, a stroller cover, blanket, burp cloth and nursing cover. This was how she came up with the idea to produce her own version, and so Ciinolin was born.
Finding the perfect fabric was key, something soft yet durable, with a unique design. Yin was inspired by batik motifs found in Southeast Asia, which she mixed with whimsical animal characters and printed on her own special weave. A combination of 70 percent rayon from natural bamboo fibers and 30 percent cotton that is gentle on a baby’s skin is the recipe for perfection, long lasting and gets softer with every wash as well.
Ciinolin also produces Baby Steps cards to mark special milestones, in gender neutral designs to match the swaddles. How sweet!
Fun designs inspired by traditional batik motifs which are baby-friendly, soft and durable.
New moms and their bambinos.
Ciinolin gives back with every product sold, supporting the non-profit B1G1 in Singapore, which strives to improve the lives of less fortunate children around the world, as well as supporting several other organizations in Southeast Asia.
