Singapore’s iconic Christmas On A Great Street returns from November 8, 2025, to January 1, 2026, transforming Orchard Road into a breathtaking wonderland. This year’s edition marks a milestone — SG60, Singapore’s 60th year of independence — with Merli, the adorable Merlion mascot, taking center stage in glittering light installations and festive decorations. President Tharman Shanmugaratnam will officiate the light-up on November 8, 2025 kicking off a season of joy, giving, and celebration.
What is in store for 2025 Christmas Decorations On Orchard Road?
- Shimmering Lights And Iconic Designs: Stretching across a 3.1km stretch from Tanglin to Dhoby Ghaut, Orchard Road will sparkle in hues of gold, rose gold, and silvery white. The design features wreaths symbolising unity and community, elegant ribbons, and dazzling motifs — including the Toa Payoh Dragon Playground and a reindeer-led trishaw — perfect for festive photo ops. Don’t miss the main arch photo podium in front of ION Orchard for that picture-perfect SG60 moment!
- The Great Christmas Village Returns: The Great Christmas Village at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza is back — bigger and more exciting than ever! Families can enjoy the Kiztopia Christmas Carnival, complete with rides, inflatables, a Ferris wheel, and LED ride-ons. Explore over 10 F&B and retail booths at the Christmas Market, featuring treats, gifts, and craft beers by Sunbird Brewing Company. Inspired by European markets, it also includes Hitachi’s cosy “Santa House” — a must-visit for nostalgic festive vibes.
- Kiztopia Fun: The celebration continues at the second Christmas Village at Shaw House Urban Plaza (November 8 – January 4), featuring more Kiztopia fun with Rudolph’s Express train ride, Jingle Jump trampolines, carnival games, and photo ops galore.
Street Parties And Festive Pop-Ups
- From November 28–30 and December 26–28, Night At Orchard will fill the streets with pop-up bazaars, live music, and festive cheer. The annual Celebrate Christmas in Singapore event from December 16–22 brings storytelling, fundraising booths, and carolling. And don’t miss the Great Christmas Eve Street Party on December 24, when Orchard Road closes to traffic for an epic night of live performances, food trucks, mascots, and a midnight countdown!
Lights, Music, And Giving Back
- A 100-metre multimedia projection will illuminate Hilton Singapore Orchard nightly, synchronised to festive tunes playing from 44 lamp posts. The event also supports Community Chest and SG Cares Giving Week, raising funds for over 300 social service programmes. Sustainability takes centre stage too — ORBA will reuse last year’s decorations, purchase renewable energy credits, and donate lights to the charity group EQUAL.
