Zoom Ribs’ special forces-style rigid inflatable boat offers an exhilarating ride and an exciting way to experience Hong Kong. A range of different tours and trips are available.
* Southside Spin – Speed along the Southside of Hong Kong Island seeing Deepwater Bay, Repulse Bay, and Stanley Bay, possibly also Tai Tam Bay and Po Toi Islands and Waglan Light. You can then go back to Aberdeen or disembark in Stanley where you can enjoy the Stanley Market and plenty of family-friendly restaurants, or head on up to the Eastern Harbour to Causeway Bay’s Typhoon Shelter. You can also stop off at Po Toi for a fresh seafood meal with prior arrangement. This trip is 1-hour HK$500 per person.
* Southside to Harbour Blast – Get picked up at Aberdeen, travel alongside the harbor. You get to see Deepwater Bay, Repulse Bay, and Stanley Bay, Tai Tam Bay, Po Toi Islands, Shek-O, Tung Lung Chau, Waglan Light, enter the Eastern Harbour, Lei Yun Mun Gap stilt houses, Museum of Coastal Defence, Chai Wan fishing harbor, Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, Convention Centre. On this trip you will get to disembark in Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter, you will be in the heart of the of the shopping mecca of CWB. The trip takes 2-hours and is HK$800.
* Lantai and Tai O – Pick up in Aberdeen, you can head towards Lamma Island and across Hong Kong’s busy shipping lane to Lantau’s picturesque stilted village of Tai O. You will see the massive new bridge between Hong Kong and Macau and be on on the look-out for pink dolphins all the way. This trip takes half a day and is HK$1000.
* Ninepins, Saikung and Tung Ping Chau Excursion – Pick up from Aberdeen and Causeway Bay. Speed along the beautiful Southside through the Harbour, past Tung Lung Chau, Clearwater Bay, enjoy the coastline of the stunning Saikung Country Park and its spectacular rock formations. Stop by Tung Ping Chau for food and a walk, a gorgeous spot that is still quite unknown by Hong Kongers. You can return to either Causeway Bay or Saikung Town. This is a full day trip that costs HK$1600.
Rib boats are used by special forces, police and rescue services and are safe, fast, and not to mention an exhilarating form of travel with the whole gang!
Visitors and residents alike will enjoy a boat experience with Zoom Ribs. The boat can carry 9 large adults (a maximum of 11 people if children or smaller adults are included in the party). A minimum of four passengers are normally required to make a trip viable. A minimum height of 135cm is generally advisable for passengers.
Most trips depart from Aberdeen at 10am, but alternative arrangements can be made.
