Details: The first procession – or The King’s Procession – will see their Majesties travel in procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey in the Diamon Jubilee State Coach. It will travel along The Mall all the way to Westminster Abbey where the Coronation service will begin, at 6pm Hong Kong time. After that, their Majesties will return to Buckingham Palace as part of a larger ceremonial procession, The Coronation Procession, in the Gold State Coach. Once at Buckingham Palace, their Majesties will receive a salute from the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Armed Forces and appear on the famous balcony.
Perhaps the first place that comes to mind when you think of a place where to watch the coronation is perhaps your typical British pub, and specifically The Globe in Central. There's also Trafalgar in Wanchai and The Phoenix on Shelley Street. Mr Wolf is throwing a Coronation party with 3 hours of free-flow! Newest British restaurant on the block, 69 on Jervois will be showing the Coronation and serving a special Coronation dinner feast to go alongside it!
Other typical British restaurants include Shoreditch and Brick Lane (details will be updated here soon about whether they will be showing the live Coronation). Frites is always a great family-friendly option too for watching big events, and the royal Coronation is no exception! 181 at Fortnum and Mason will be serving a special Coronation-inspired afternoon tea, book your spot here!
For the Queen's funeral, all major international broadcasters like the BBC, CNN, euronews showed it. Details will be updated here shortly on how to watch the Coronation from home. In the meantime, why don't you start planning food and drink options if you're planning a Coronation party? Mark's & Spencer's (pictured) is in the Coronation mood and is already selling some Coronation-themed snacks and memorabilia.
