Cut Out Single-Use Plastics!

It’s important to always be conscious of our environment and live sustainably! This July, however, there will be a global movement called #PlasticFreeJuly organized by Plastic Free Sease in which people all over the world pledge to refuse single-use plastics that are near irreparably damaging our natural environment!
This is a great way to get the kids to be aware of how they can be a part of the solution rather than the problem. It’s a small thing for one person to stop using single-use plastics but as each individual takes the initiative to decide for themselves to be that one person, change can happen!
For a little guidance and a starting point, get the family to complete the Plastic Footprint Investigation which can be found when scrolled to the bottom of the page of this site. This tool keeps track of how much of an impact your daily habits cause. By seeing the problem stacking up, the kids may feel even more motivated to stick with the pledge.
Take on the much needed challenge of cutting out single-use plastics with the family, and remember to motivate each other!
