Lace up those skates kiddos and head to the ice! For a real winter sensation, families are cruising their clans to the frozen ice skating rink located right on the Central Harbour. The rink is part of the AIA Carnival festivities and offers big fun for all ages involved. This is Hong Kong’s largest outdoor ice rink with stunning views of the Hong Kong skyline. Skaters of all ages (2 years old and over), both beginners and experienced are welcome at the rink – whether it be to improve your skills, simply have a twirl. There will be plenty to celebrate at the rink with it being open over Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Chinese New Year!
Ice Skating, Cost is HK$60 per person (adult and child). No pre-purchase is necessary.
For the little ones:
* Kids aged 2 on up are welcome on the rink. You will find plastic seals (HK$30) for the mini skaters to sit on while mom or dad pushes them along. With regards to skate boot sizes, the smallest size is 29 and for smaller sized feet, they have an adjustable skate (that fits over the shoe) for children with feet size smaller than 29.
For the teens:
* Disco on ice, yes please! Teens will love this addition to the frozen fun on every weekday night from 6pm – 11pm.
For date night:
* Book up their romance on ice package which includes skating for 2 and mulled wine or hot chocolate for 2!
For those needing a break:
* The Alpine Cafe is open and stocked with hot chocolate for the little ones and coffee and mulled wine for mom and dad. You will also find snacks too – including chestnuts!
