McDonald’s has just launched its latest Happy Meal collaboration featuring Chiikawa, the beloved Japanese characters created by illustrator Nagano! These adorable critters, Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, and friends, have taken the city by storm, and crowds are flocking to McDonald’s outlets to collect these exclusive toys. Here’s everything you need to know about the Chiikawa craze and how to secure your own set of these limited-edition collectibles!
Starting from July 28, 2025, McDonald’s Hong Kong rolled out its much-anticipated Chiikawa Days Happy Meal toys, featuring eight different designs of the lovable characters. From now until the end of August, each Happy Meal will come with one Chiikawa-themed toy, with new designs being released every Monday and Friday at 11 AM.

2. In-Person Purchase at 40 Specified Restaurants
You can also visit 40 designated McDonald’s locations to purchase a Happy Meal and receive the weekly Chiikawa toy. However, supplies are limited, and toys are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis (and queues might be long!).
