This summer, the Commissioner for Heritage’s Office of the Development Bureau has put together a fantastic series of monuments that can teach the kids history through an interactive lense. The 2019 Heritage Fiesta will take you through 24 declared monuments and graded historic buildings. These cool sites were either previously or still are in use as quarters. Some of the sites included in this fiesta are the Woodside Biodiversity Education Centre, the Island House Conservation Studies Centre, the Zonta White House, and other cool spots!
You can take the kids to these site through visits planned on your own or through guided tours. The guided tours run at set times for each site and need to be reserved through various methods and prices. Details for guided tours on each venue can be found here.
Plan your own tour to visit these sites all in a day or spread out through the summer, but be sure to read up on their backstories and opening times. Click here to read the pamphlet!
