The Water In The Balance exhibition is part of a program aimed specifically at teaching future generations about one of the Earth’s most valuable assets and our complicated internal and external relationship with it.
So get to the pier, step into the Hong Kong Maritime Museum and set out to follow the water droplet Water Jai on his journey from the sky through urban and natural landscapes to the ocean and back again. There’s no toe-dipping – the bilingual, multisensory and interactive exhibition makes you jump right into the current! Though the exhibition features many instances of distilled fun, it takes its subject matter very seriously. The organizers of the Jockey Club Water Caretakers of Tomorrow program see our little ones not only as the kids they are but also as the savers of the planet and its communities they can grow up to be if we give them the right tools – so they did exactly that! That said, it’s not too late for us boring adults to stop taking this amazing substance for granted as well and join these amazing organizations and future generations in making water stewardship as cool as ice!
