Hot Off The Press! Fusing Italian cuisine with Japanese techniques and produce, Japanese master chef Terufumi Mihara opens his latest Hong Kong venture in the heart of bustling Ship Street in Wanchai.
Officially open on October 28, 2022, choose to sit on the beautiful 10-seat teppanyaki counter for a more intimate evening as you watch the chef prepare seafood (some of which you can directly choose yourself from the trattoria’s tank) and meat specialties such as Live Australian Lobster, Live Japanese Abalone, Wagyu Beef Rossini (HK$358), Smoked Spanish Iberico Pork, Agnello alla Scottadito and more.
Otherwise choose to sit in their inviting dining room or even terrace for aperitivo (straight from their Cin Cin bar cart) to enjoy signature starters like the Caprese with Tomato Sorbet and Trippa alla Kagawa or, slow-cooked tripe with a homemade sauce using Japanese tomato, Kagoshima egg and parmesan cheese and of course don’t forget the Fritto Misto. Leave room for Chef Mihara’s freshly made pasta, specifically the Uni Carbonara and his elevated Aglio e Olio. Leave room for dessert and the decadent yet fluffier Japanese-inspired Tiramisu and the Biancomangiare, centred upon the centuries-old fermented-rice drink of amazake. Drinks are not forgotten at this unique Italian-Japanese trattoria, you can enjoy inventive cocktails such as the gin-based Hot Litchi or the yuzu-infused Kochi Spritz alongside their extensive wine and spirits menu.
