There’s nothing pretentious about this wooden, shack-style restaurant. Naughty Nuri’s serves up home-style, finger-licking ribs, oversize hotdogs, and pork loin sandwiches amidst a bellowing cloud of smoke from the roadside grill.
Busloads by the dozens pull up, drop off hordes of carnivores and load ’em back up after they have feasted on a heaping pile of meat. After all the hype of filming in Ubud, the cheeky owner coined his own phrase of the joint…Eat. Pay. Leave. That pretty much sums up the place.
Naughty Nuri’s is a laugh-and-a-half……enjoy communal dining with fellow travelers, Kuta day-trippers and local expats. The kids will enjoy the foosball table out back while mom and pop take a taste of lethal martinis (maybe…bring along a babysitter for this one), considered to be the best in the world by celebrity chef, Anthony Bourdain.
This humble eatery serves up some of the tastiest melt-off-the-bone ribs this side of the Pacific.
Carnivorous kids, martini mavens and chatty cathies.
