Aman Is Coming To Seoul - And It's Worth The Wait Until 2030

Start dreaming (and saving) now: the world’s most serene luxury brand is finally landing in Korea, with a 38-storey tower rising above Cheongdam. If your family holidays already revolve around Seoul, the food, the shopping, the museums, the endless kid-friendly cafés — here’s one more reason to keep going back. Aman has just announced Aman Seoul, its very first property in South Korea, slated for completion at the end of 2030.

Yes, that’s a long wait. But this is Aman, so it will almost certainly be worth it.

Check it out here

Where It’s Going

Aman Seoul will sit in Cheongdam-dong, arguably Seoul’s most polished postcode, in the heart of Gangnam and overlooking the Han River. Think flagship boutiques, galleries and Dosan-daero’s café-and-design strip right on your doorstep — plus Seoul Forest, COEX Aquarium and Lotte World all within easy striking distance for the kids.

Developed in partnership with Shinsegae Property (the real estate arm of Shinsegae Group), the tower will span 38 floors above ground and eight below, with a total floor area of around 70,000 sqm.

What’s Inside

Aman Seoul is designed as a fully integrated destination — part hotel, part private club, part residence:

  • The hotel, with generously sized suites drawing on Korean spatial traditions, materials and craftsmanship
  • 49 branded residences, fitted out by Aman Interiors with bespoke furnishings
  • A global Aman Club — a members-only space with its own pool, fitness facilities and social lounges
  • A multi-floor spa and wellness complex (the signature Aman experience, essentially, but vertical)
  • A global food and beverage line-up, including Aman’s own dining concepts
  • Separate entrances and arrival sequences for the hotel, residences and club, so everyone gets their privacy

Architecture and interiors are being developed with partners and craftspeople rooted in Korean design sensibilities — calm, grounded, minimalist, and very much of its place.

Why Little Steps Loves It:

Aman properties are quietly excellent with children — think spacious suites, discreet service and wellness facilities that make jet lag with little ones marginally more bearable. Put 2030 in the diary.

Who It's Perfect For:

Perfect for luxury family holidaymakers who travel for calm rather than kids' clubs. The Cheongdam address puts Seoul Forest, COEX Aquarium and Lotte World within easy reach.
