Zuma, one of our favorite restaurants in Hong Kong, is coming to Niseko! The London-born Japanese restaurant opens its first ever Japan outpost in Hirafu on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, as a one-season pop-up.
Doors open at 3pm for après drinks, with dinner from 5pm until midnight, and there’s a DJ booth in the room. Grab a cocktail straight off the slopes, or tuck the kids in first and make it a proper date night at the robata counter. We love that there’s a private room option for group bookings as well!

The Scoop On Zuma Niseko
Little Steps Insider Tips:
Zuma Niseko opens on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, as a pop-up for the 2026/27 winter season only. It’s open daily from 3pm-12am, with après drinks from 3pm and dinner from 5pm. Zuma hasn’t announced a closing date for the pop-up yet.
Book online through the Zuma Niseko website, where reservations for the season are now open. Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year are Niseko’s busiest weeks, so book those early. For group bookings or the private dining room, email [email protected].
Zuma hasn’t published a children’s policy for Niseko, so email [email protected] before booking an early family dinner. Planning a grown-up night out? Lock in a babysitter or kids’ evening program first, since sitters in Niseko book out in peak weeks.
Zuma hasn’t released its Niseko menu prices. Expect the same style as Zuma Hong Kong: nigiri, sashimi and robata grill dishes, plus sake, Japanese whisky and signature cocktails like the Rikka Tonic. For pricing or a set menu, email [email protected].
Zuma Niseko is in Lower Hirafu, at 163-53 Nisekohirafu 2-jo 1-chome, Kutchan, Hokkaido. It’s about a four-minute drive from Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu, so it works well for a drink straight off the slopes or a taxi down for dinner.
Yes. Zuma Niseko seats 141, the main dining room takes parties of 10-20, and there’s a 12-seat private dining room. It’s a good fit for multi-family ski trips or a big celebration. Request the private room early for peak-season dates.
Niseko trips are usually all about the kids, from ski school drop-offs to early dinners. Zuma gives you one grown-up night out in a room that feels nothing like a family holiday, with food that’s worth the sitter.
Parents on a family ski trip who want one proper night out, couples celebrating an anniversary in the snow, and groups of friends traveling together without the kids.
Reservations opened on August 14, 2026, and menu prices haven’t been published yet. We love Zuma’s weekend Shūmatsu brunch in Hong Kong, but there’s no word yet on a Niseko version. Book peak weeks early.
