Metropolitan YMCA offers music classes for children aged 3-6 years and keyboard classes for children aged 5-8 years. The Music program encourages children to learn through creativity and improvization. Children learn to differentiate pitch, create rhythmic patterns, play different percussion instruments and express themselves musically.
The Keyboard program uses a rolled-up keyboard to teach children basic keyboard techniques, note-reading, musical terms and aural skills.
