Singapore’s Italian dining scene gets louder, bolder and unapologetically Roman with the arrival of Medusa Osteria Romana, the city’s first-ever osteria dedicated entirely to Roman cuisine. Opening on 10 January at South Beach, this striking new restaurant brings the spirit of Rome’s 1960s vintage luxury era to the city, complete with fiery red tones, glamorous interiors and a confident, high-energy atmosphere.
This new concept by The Fortuna Group is helmed by Rome natives Head Chef Federico Scordo and General Manager Federico Burci, who serve Roman cooking the way it’s meant to be enjoyed — hearty, indulgent and deeply satisfying. Expect bold flavours, classic techniques and comfort food designed for sharing.
Kick things off with the Focaccetta & Dip (SG$16), paired with Medusa’s signature Roma tomato and salsa verde dips. Roman street food favourites follow, including Suppli al Telefono (SG$16 for two pieces) with its molten mozzarella centre and the indulgent Burrata Fritta (SG$26), crisp on the outside and irresistibly creamy within.
For mains, pasta lovers will want to go classic with the rich Alfredo Fettuccine (SG$36) or opt for Caserecce (SG$35), a rustic pasta shape that clings beautifully to sauce. Can’t choose? Add SG$10 for the Half-and-Half Pasta option, which lets you enjoy two pasta styles on one plate — ideal for sharing.
Monday to Sunday
Lunch: 12 pm to 2.30pm
Dinner : 6 pm to 9.45 pm last order
Medusa Osteria Romana stands out for its unapologetically bold personality. From the dramatic interiors to the indulgent Roman recipes, this is Italian dining that feels fun, expressive and celebratory. We love that the menu stays true to Roman roots while still offering playful touches like the half-and-half pasta option, making it easy to share and try more in one sitting.
This is a great pick for date nights, birthday dinners and grown-up celebrations when you’re craving comfort food with flair. It’s also ideal for groups who enjoy sharing plates, lingering over pasta and soaking up a lively, high-energy atmosphere.
Medusa Osteria Romana channels the glamour of Rome’s 1960s dolce vita era, creating a dining space that feels confident, sexy and full of character. The restaurant’s focus on Roman street food and classic pasta dishes sets it apart from the usual Italian offerings in Singapore.
