Step into BAR KAP, a new and intimate cocktail bar nestled within the iconic House of Tan Yeok Nee, the last surviving Grand Mansion of Singapore’s “Four Grand Mansions.” Built in the 1880s by Teochew merchant Tan Yeok Nee, the house showcases exquisite craftsmanship, from ornate wood carvings to vibrant ceramic inlays. Today, meticulously restored as a National Monument at the gateway to Orchard Road, this heritage landmark now serves as a space where history meets modern hospitality.
BAR KAP unfolds as a series of private rooms, exuding intimacy and charm—perfect for romantic dates or special occasions. The bar’s progressive cocktail menu celebrates the mansion’s layered history, with eras inspired by its time as a merchant’s home, a railway station, and a traditional medicine clinic. Drinks like the Pepper Peddler, featuring baijiu and makgeolli, and Tank Road, a whisky sour with roasted orange, offer a taste of the past reimagined for the present. For something unique, their clay-aged cocktails use ancient techniques to create bold, refined flavors.
The inviting culinary menu complements the drinks, with Southeast Asian-inspired dishes like Mee Kapitan and nostalgic treats such as the playful Ice Cream Sandwich. With private rooms like the Carriage Room, designed to resemble a luxurious train cabin, and a main bar framed by timber beams and reflective surfaces, BAR KAP sets the perfect mood for meaningful connections.
Adjacent to BAR KAP, Jing Studio offers a modern take on tea culture, featuring herbal infusions, single-origin teas, and pastries paired perfectly for a quiet retreat.

An amazing bar set in a beautiful location, steeped in history and old-world charm.
Date nights and intimate gatherings with friends.
Opening Hours Daily, 10am to 7pm (Jing Studio), 5pm to 12am (BAR KAP)
