At SJI International Elementary School, a Lasallian Catholic ethos shapes daily school life, with character development at the heart of the educational experience. Students are encouraged to grow academically, socially, artistically and through sport, while digital tools support collaboration and internationally focused learning.
The school’s English-Chinese Bilingual Programme uses a two-way immersion model to develop literacy in both languages, while also encouraging intercultural understanding, analytical thinking and cognitive flexibility. Together, these elements create a holistic approach to education, helping students develop the values, knowledge and skills needed to engage confidently with an increasingly connected world.

The Scoop: What to Expect:
SJI International Elementary School combines a Lasallian Catholic ethos with a holistic approach to learning, placing character development alongside academic, creative, sporting and social growth. Students can also access bilingual learning, co-curricular activities and opportunities to develop skills such as collaboration, independence and intercultural understanding.
SJI International Elementary uses the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Singapore Maths and a Chinese programme. Families can choose between a Mainstream Programme and a Bilingual Programme using a Two Way Immersion model in English and Chinese.
The Virtues Project™ underpins the school’s character education programme, helping children develop qualities such as integrity, kindness, responsibility, diligence and compassion. A Virtue of the Week, class ceremonies and five strategies are used to bring these virtues into everyday school life.
The Bilingual Programme uses Two Way Immersion, with teaching delivered in both English and Chinese across subjects. Students follow the same core curriculum as the Mainstream Programme while developing proficiency in both languages and exploring concepts from different linguistic and cultural perspectives.
