Dating from 1921, the Taipa Houses-Museum is comprised of five pastel green houses typical in their colonial style and reminiscent of the Portuguese’s time in the territory. Inside, visitors can view fine Portuguese costumes, contemporary visual art exhibitions from around the world, and, at certain times, will find the museum host to various cultural events and gastronomy festivals.
These beautiful buildings, carefully restored, are tucked away in Taipa, and offer an intriguing insight into the lives of those who called Macau home in the 1920s.
Those keen to take a cultural and historic excursion through the charming village of Taipa and discover more about Macau's intriguing past.
Taipa Houses-Museum is closed on Mondays but open every other day of the week from 10am to 6pm with last admission at 5.30pm.
