Light Up Macao is back! This annual light show celebrates the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland. The “Symphony of Time and Space” showcases artists’ creativity from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and beyond, featuring six flagship installations, four art pieces, and more. This vibrant event is perfect for families and kids, offering delightful attractions in every district. Children can enjoy interactive displays and fun giveaways like glow-in-the-dark mobile phone lanyards and heart-shaped light sticks. With experiences ranging from water sports at Nam Van Lake to the excitement of the Yuan Yat Yuen Dog Racing Track, kids will create unforgettable memories!
Event Details:
- When: December 7, 2024 – February 28, 2025, from 7 PM to 10 PM
- Where: Various locations across Macao, including:
- Praia do Manduco District: Pulse of the Future
- Nam Van District (Nam Van Lake Water Sports Center): Interlude of the Ocean
- Zona Nova de Aterros do Porto Exterior (NAPE): Glorious Epoch
- Northern District (Yuan Yat Yuen Dog Racing Track): Realm of Fantasy
- Taipa District (Fire Station Front Area): Fusion of Arts and Culture
- Coloane District (Italian Horse Garden): Nostalgic Aura
Additional Highlights:
- Mapping Show: Every 30 minutes from 7 PM to 9:30 PM, each lasting 5 minutes. Locations: Front square of Macao Science Center and Largo dos Bombeiros (Cozinha Pinocchio façade).
- Outreach Activities: December 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2024, from 8 PM to 9 PM.
- Luminescent Night: Explore various streets from December 7 to February 28, 2025.
