Two Presents Charity Birthday Gifts In Hong Kong
Charity Gifting Service
One for you, one for me…the party bubble of giving and receiving has taken a new twist thanks to a very unique and oh-so-chic gift giving service in Hong Kong! Move over plastic toys and super hero dollies, you have been trumped by charity.
Set up by two Hong Kong moms fed up with the birthday party gifting circuit, Two Presents was launched to turn gifting on its’ head. The fabulous new concept offers a website portal to deliver two presents (one for the host/celebrant/birthday child) and one for a charity. How does it work?
The Host:
1. The birthday child chooses a charity to support and a big gift they would love to have for their big day (think bike, scooter, etc). They also select the percentage they would like to give to that charity (25%, 50%, 75%).
2. Mom and dad help select the invite (similar technology to Evite/Paperless Post) and collect RSVPs using the site as well (one-stop shop and eco-fabulous).
Guests:
1. All guests receive this invitation and the info about the charity and about the big gift.
2. Guests donate online and the pooled money goes towards the big gift and the charity chosen.
The Result?
Everyone has supported the community and the birthday boy/girl has also received something truly meaningful (rather that 30+ bits and bobs). Brilliant? We think so…
