China’s popular street crepe, the “Jianbing”, makes its Hong Kong debut off the back of Beijing bicycles and into a new, cool food concept in Central. As the first and only jianbing joint in the territory, Mr Bing is the first of what will become a chain of jianbing shops in the city. Mr Bing offers hungry Hong Kongers of all sizes a quick, hot and affordable grub for breakfast, lunch, snacks and late night bites. It doesn’t get any better than that!
What’s it all about, you ask? Jianbing is a staple for many locals, and a street spectacle for visitors, in China. The dexterous jianbing cooks swiftly prepare each crepe, usually in a minute or less, and often off the back of bicycles parked curbside all over the city. The Mr Bing experience in Hong Kong involves the same showmanship of jianbing making in a trendy space with design elements of Beijing Street culture, with a healthier twist.
Best part is that it is super fast. Hao chi!
Mr Bing is a quick and yummy snack or meal on the go no matter what time of day!
Foodies of all ages.
Mr Bing offers healthy flour choices for the batter options: green bean, millet, and buckwheat with additional batters including purple rice. We hear that a gluten free option might be available soon, so watch this space!
