When you plan your next family trip to Sai Kung, be sure to add the brand new Hoi Ha Visit Centre to the itinerary! Set to open in late December, dependent on the COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong, the Visitor Centre will host Marine Park visitors before proceeding to the waterfront.
An architecturally sustainable yet functional structure, the center is eco-friendly. It uses rainwater for flushing, and the washroom has its own rainwater collector system. Strewn across the area are strategically placed solar panels that generate energy for lamps in Sai Kung. On-site is also a bio-treatment plant that processes and purifies sewage to drinking level!
The Visitor Centre embraces a central lawn for gatherings and group activities and sheltered outdoor spaces around a multi-purpose room. Be sure to check out the Marine Park and this brand new visitor center when you next visit Sai Kung!
