Let it flow, and let us swim! Jump into Hong Kong’s version of Fantasy Island by exploring the famous waterfalls and swimming holes in Plover Cove National Park.
Brides Pool and Mirror Pool are located just outside the oh-so-family-friendly Tai Mei Tuk. Once you arrive at the area, you can take one of the leisurely hikes to the waterfalls and BBQ sites. The walks in are relatively easy but are not recommended for strollers, so plan on packing the babes on your back.
Picnics: There are a few fantastic picnic spots. Our favorites are the main picnic spot surrounded by trickling streams and stacked with plenty of BBQs. Also, you will find one close to Brides Pool itself.
Brides Pool: Depending on where you are coming from, the easiest way to locate this swimming hole and waterfall is to ask the locals (they know the trails best)! Or, if you are a DIY type, find the main BBQ site and the trail left across the bridge. You will need to hop rocks (careful with the little ones) to find Brides Pool.
Mirror Pool: This spectacular falls is not recommended for wee ones to swim in but is certainly worth it for the older kids and for a family photo shoot. At the main BBQ site, cross the bridge on the left and head right for about 10 minutes. You will find yourself facing the falls with views that can’t be beat!
Natural swimming pools, BBQ site and more!
Families looking to beat the heat and explore HK's great outdoors.
Be sure to make a stop in Tai Mei Tuk on your way home. There are great Thai and Italian restaurants!
