Calling all givers! If you have ever wondered what to do with those old books, magazines and DVDs you no longer use…head straight to the port! Donate those goodies to service men and women in port here in Hong Kong.
Where to give?
* Fenwick Pier will gladly take your used reading materials and DVDs and put them to use in their giving library (yes, it does exist!). These donated items are complimentary to all service men and women passing through Hong Kong. Last year over 38,000 service members came through Fenwick Pier so fresh inventory is always appreciated.
* The Mission to Seafarers Mariner’s Club is another organization that accepts unwanted magazines and paperbacks, which they freely distribute aboard ships in port each month.
Go on now…
Reduce, reuse, recycle and support service men and women all at the same time.
Anyone who has used, but still in good condition books, magazines, DVDs, even puzzles they would like to see set sail (excluding out of date guidebooks or reference books).
Fenwick Pier also has a Fleet Arcade with restaurants, bookshops, a barbershop, souvenir stalls and more. However, when military ships are in port, security is heightened and visitors restricted.
