Best Bars in Hong Kong That are kid friendly

Happy hour doesn’t have to be a thing of the past just because you have kids! Little Steps has the rundown on the best bars and restaurants in Hong Kong that are kid friendly too.  From outdoor bars with amazing Hong Kong views to craft beer bars too – this is a handy guide for all parents.  Bottoms and bottles up!

  • The Lawn At Upper House Hong Kong

    The Lawn At Upper House

Upper House has long been the “it” destination for the fashionable, jet set crowd. Fabulous Moms and Dads can stretch out with their wee ones at The Lawn – the hotel’s outdoor bar. Enjoy a signature cocktail, such as a crisp Sauvignon Cooler or Elderflower Collins while your tyke runs around on the grassy patch. The laid back vibe is the ideal place to soak up the sun on a warm afternoon.

  • The Terrace At Lupa Hong Kong

    The Terrace At Lupa

Mario Batali’s first dining venture in Hong Kong is a popular place for weekday power lunches, thanks to its scrumptious antipasto bar. The outdoor area – named The Terrace at Lupa – is also a lovely spot to enjoy a drink after a long day. It’s easily a place where your kids can play while you do a bit of multi-tasking: keeping an eye on them and sipping a glass of vino.

    The Terrace at Lupa, 3/F, LHT Tower, 31 Queen’s Road Central, Central, +852 2796 6500, www.luparestaurant.com

  • Hooray Hong Kong

    Hooray

Though it’s tucked away in an odd little corner of the World Trade Centre and a bit tricky to find, Hooray bar in Causeway Bay has a massive outdoor terrace that offers pretty spectacular views of Victoria Harbour. On crowded nights, the restaurant imposes a minimum spend per person, but the sum is easily covered by a couple of drinks or snacks for the kids.

If you’re feeling nippish, feast on snacks such as burgers, hot dogs and crepes from the casual cafe. Inside, the restaurant offers a Mediterranean menu with items such as piri piri prawns, baked mackerel, among other seafood options.

Don’t miss out on the selection of beautiful cakes, which are available at all times – here you and the kids can have your cake and eat it too!

    Wooloomooloo Prime

Rising high above the ground on the 21st floor of The One in Tsim Sha Tsui, the outdoor bar and seating area of Wooloomooloo Prime is not for those with vertigo. It is, however, the hotspot for steak and wine lovers, and they have a comprehensive wine collection to have a tipple, or to pair a glass with their savoury cuts of Black Angus beef.

    Stormies At Kowloon Station

Down a couple of cocktails while tapping your feet along to Top 40s tunes at this popular watering hole. Stormies' West Kowloon location is much tamer than its LKF counterpart, which is a welcome change when your little ones are in tow, and the expansive outdoor piazza is a wonderful area for the kids to let loose and have some fun as well.
