Upper House has long been the “it” destination for the fashionable, jet set crowd. Fabulous Moms and Dads can stretch out with their wee ones at The Lawn – the hotel’s outdoor bar. Enjoy a signature cocktail, such as a crisp Sauvignon Cooler or Elderflower Collins while your tyke runs around on the grassy patch. The laid back vibe is the ideal place to soak up the sun on a warm afternoon.

Mario Batali’s first dining venture in Hong Kong is a popular place for weekday power lunches, thanks to its scrumptious antipasto bar. The outdoor area – named The Terrace at Lupa – is also a lovely spot to enjoy a drink after a long day. It’s easily a place where your kids can play while you do a bit of multi-tasking: keeping an eye on them and sipping a glass of vino.

Though it’s tucked away in an odd little corner of the World Trade Centre and a bit tricky to find, Hooray bar in Causeway Bay has a massive outdoor terrace that offers pretty spectacular views of Victoria Harbour. On crowded nights, the restaurant imposes a minimum spend per person, but the sum is easily covered by a couple of drinks or snacks for the kids.

Rising high above the ground on the 21st floor of The One in Tsim Sha Tsui, the outdoor bar and seating area of Wooloomooloo Prime is not for those with vertigo. Down a couple of cocktails while tapping your feet along to Top 40s tunes at this popular watering hole.
