Coffeelin, known for its true Italian-style coffee since its Sai Ying Pun debut in 2018, is now gracing the historic streets of Oil Street with its fourth establishment in Hong Kong’s budding Fortress Hill neighborhood. Embracing the rich Milanese coffee house culture, Coffeelin’s latest opening is a testament to the brand’s growing popularity and ambitious expansion plans, with a fifth location set to open later in the year at LHT Tower, Central.

Specializing in espresso, Coffeelin’s professional baristas also craft cappuccinos, lattes, and macchiatos with expertise. The exclusive La Storica 1991 blend from Torrefazione Il Griso, crowned Italy’s best coffee bar in 2016, is the foundation of every cup. This flagship Coffeelin venue, designed by renowned architect JJ Acuna,  exudes natural light, and the textured walls and hand-painted ceiling murals offer warmth, while the patterned marble floors and wooden furnishings pay homage to Italy’s cozy trattorias. An open bar area, central kitchen, and a beautiful alfresco terrace with striped parasols offer versatile spaces for visitors to sip and savor their drinks in comfort.

Helming the kitchen is talented Chef Umberto D’Avino from Rome, who brings a taste of Italian tradition with a contemporary twist. Breakfast at Coffeelin is a treat, with options like elevated ham and cheese toast featuring prosciutto crudo and fontina cheese, or the decadent rosetta roll filled with mortadella and truffle stracciatella. The all-day menu includes dishes like sliced roast octopus tentacles with warm potato foam & smoked paprika, and homemade tagliolini pasta with butter and Mediterranean anchovies, accented with kaffir lime. Desserts are equally tempting, with the tiramisu, Neapolitan rum baba, and especially the maritozzi, a cream-filled bun that’s become an Instagram sensation. The aperitivo hour celebrates Italian tradition with classic and innovative cocktails, complemented by snacks like zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta and mozzarella croquettes.
