Good news if you’re a fan of capsule toy machines in Japan. Gashapon Bandai has opened an official store right here in Singapore, located at NEX mall in Serangoon! Now you and the kids can turn the machines to your heart’s content and get a surprise toy or figurine.
With over 300 machines and 200 collections of figurines, there’s something for everyone. Expect cute toys from franchises like Harry Potter, Doraemon, and even K-pop bands like BTS and NCT127. Instead of using actual coins, you’ll need to exchange money for the special tokens at the entrance. 1 token costs SG$2, and some machines will require multiple tokens.
Of course, the fun is in receiving randomized capsules each holding a different toy or figurine, and collecting them all. With so many options to choose from, don’t be surprised if you end up spending plenty of time here!
