What is the exam and how does IBDP Exam scoring work?

The IBDP curriculum is designed around six subject groups and a foundational core that includes Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS). Students choose six subjects: three at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL). Each subject can earn up to seven points, and with the core components adding an extra three points, the maximum possible score is 45 points.

• 427 IB World Schools currently offering the programme in 58 countries

2025 Singapore IB Results:  How does Singapore Compare?

• 2023 - Their average score was 37.76 out of 45, higher than the global average of 31.98
• 2024 -Their average score was 35.05 out of 45, higher than the global average of 30.24
• 2025 - IBDP Exam is conducted in Singapore in May and November each year.  Final averages will be released after the November 2025 results for 2025.  The July 2025 average is 35.43.
