Singapore Heritage Festival

Calling all heritage lovers, the Singapore Heritage Festival returns for its 18th year in May! Delve into the hidden tales of Singapore’s colorful history, from our built heritage to our intangible cultural heritage, including our traditions, customs, practices, as well as personal stories. Uncover lesser-known stories of our heritage through tours, commissioned works and more. This year, revisit the stories behind two significant milestones – the inscription of our hawker culture on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and the 200th anniversary of Singapore General Hospital (SGH), our nation’s first hospital. Lots of stories, fascinating content, and exciting programs about our heritage are coming this way. 

Launched in 2014, SHF is an annual signature community outreach event that aims to promote awareness and appreciation of Singapore’s rich heritage and to promote community integration and bonding amongst Singaporeans, New Citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs). It is a platform for exploration and discovery where we can relive the stories that connect us. Through interactive and meaningful experiences, be inspired to keep the heritage of Singapore alive. It’s time to start counting down to the Singapore Heritage Festival!
