Christmas Wonderland 2023 At Gardens By The Bay In Singapore

Let’s usher in the holiday season with great enthusiasm this December, as Christmas Wonderland marks a significant milestone, celebrating a decade of magic! It’s returning to the picturesque Gardens by the Bay from December 1st, 2023 to January 1, 2024, presented by none other than Trip.com. This 10th edition of Singapore’s most grand yuletide extravaganza brings forth a supersized fairground adorned with a mesmerizing assortment of light displays, thrilling new carnival rides, and a host of other festive activities.

This year, Christmas Wonderland expands its horizons to cover over 27,000 square meters. The fairground encompasses three enchanting zones, namely the Supertree Grove, Frosty’s Fairground at The Meadow, and Gingerbread Grove. Visitors will be treated to a visual feast of 13 stunning light displays, a multi-sensory experience that includes ‘snow’ in a tropical setting, brand-new carnival rides, and exciting carnival games. You can also meet and greet Santa Claus, relish delectable festive cuisine, catch live performances by local artists, and so much more!

The heart of Supertree Grove boasts the main showpiece, the Spalliera. Inspired by Mesola Castle in Italy’s Ferrara province, this splendid handcrafted Italian light display stands tall at 20 meters, illuminated by a staggering 103,000 bulbs. A spectacular treat this year is the return of ‘snow’ in the tropics with the popular Blizzard Time, against the stunning backdrop of the Spalliera. The Garden Rhapsody light and sound show adds to the enchantment as the lights on the surrounding Supertrees ‘dance’ to Christmas classics.

A new addition to Christmas Wonderland is the Holly Roger ship, illuminated by approximately 127,000 bulbs. This whimsical 24-meter-long light display is a sight to behold. Santa Claus, disembarking from the ship, is ready to pose for Instagram-worthy moments. The Walk of Lights, presented by CDG Zig, features approximately 75,000 programmable LED lights strung across a 65-meter-long tunnel, making it the longest edition ever. Additional captivating light displays can be found at Merry Lane, presented by Trip.com, including giant snowflakes and Santa’s boot, providing quirky backdrops for your outfit of the day (OOTD).

Take a ride on the Christmas Train to Frosty’s Fairground at The Meadow, where you can try your hand at more carnival games like Ring Toss, Fishy Fishy, and Blockbuster. Hop on classic amusement rides offered by Uncle Ringo, such as Bumper Cars, Carousel, Flying Dumbo, and Hot Air Balloon. More fun awaits at LumiLand, an illuminated playground featuring enchantingly lit seesaws, swings, and LED fixtures for the little ones to enjoy. Surrounding The Meadow, you can admire the light displays on the hillsides.

Nestled between Supertree Grove and Frosty’s Fairground is the newly crafted Gingerbread Grove, a delight for the senses. This sugary-themed zone is a visual feast, with a brightly lit Gingerbread House set against a field of illuminated candy canes, and a treat for the taste buds with dessert stalls.

With twice the number of food outlets this year, visitors will be spoiled for choice with a wide array of treats. Festive fare from popular Singaporean food and beverage establishments such as Burger & Lobster, Kebabs Faktory, and Sofnade will be available throughout the event ground. Enjoy festive tipples at a whimsical Christmas-cracker-themed bar by Hendrick’s Gin and a Brewerkz craft beer bar featuring its festive Gingerbread Amber Lager. Diners can get into the Christmas spirit with performances by local artists at Elfresco. Visitors can also check off their Christmas shopping list with a diverse selection of unique crafts and gift ideas by local entrepreneurs at Mistletoe Alley.
