The baubles are tucked away, Elf On The Shelf has retired for the year, and your Christmas Tree needs to be retired too. Where to dispose of your Christmas Tree? Good news – Hong Kong’s EPD has launched a tree recycle program in Hong Kong.
The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) will hire a contractor to provide Christmas tree recycling service after the Christmas holiday this year, in which the natural Christmas trees collected will be processed for producing mulches, composting materials, etc. Members of the public and organisations can deliver unwanted Christmas trees to the following collection point during the specific collection period.
Collection Points: Baguio’s plant nursery, Ting Kok Road, Tai Po, N.T. (Turn left before Lo Tsz Tin Village bus station towards Tai Mei Tuk direction).
