Rent a plot and grow and harvest your own produce at Garden Farm. This is a great family activity which engages the kids by teaching them about horticulture, different ecosystems and preservation of the environment. If you find yourself at a loose end on a Sunday, this is a novel way to spend a day in the great outdoors surrounded by beautiful scenery. Your little ones will learn about organic farming, the importance of social enterprise and nutrition as well as the role that pesticides play in protecting produce. Staff are on hand to guide you and your family through the process, whether you need help with seeds, tools or fertilizers. There are also BBQ pits so you can enjoy a meal en famille.
