PayMe Now Available To 12 Year Olds In Hong Kong

Teens Can Open An Account With Just Their HKID

Hot off the press! Popular payment app PayMe from HSBC is now available to teens as young as 12, and all they need to do so is their HKID. This is huge news for parents – you can send money over instantly at the touch of a button. Also, new users aged 12 to 18 who successfully open a PayMe account by 15 May 2023 can earn a HK$50 Circle K discount voucher. For more information click here.

Why is it useful for teens to have a PayMe account:

  • You’ll be able to instantly transfer and send money to your kids at no extra cost – useful for allowances, extracurricular activities, and more. They in turn can spend it at selected vendors across the city.
  • Teaches them financial literacy and teaches them how to budget: They can easily track their transactions in and out of their PayMe wallet through the intuitive app.
