New Performance At Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Debuts ‘Momentous’ This June 2022!

Hong Kong Disneyland debuts the final part of the magnificent trilogy. ‘The Castle’ was debuted in 2020, and ‘Follow Your Dreams’ in 2021. ‘Momentus’ is the grand finale nighttime spectacular that will take you on a heartwarming journey of Disney’s much-loved characters. Disney will craft inimitable stories through state-of-the-art multimedia, including projection mapping, water projections, theatrical lighting, lasers, flames, fire effects, pyrotechnics, and choreographed water fountains. Experience classic Disney scores in new musical arrangements.

‘Momentous’ is a breathtaking, never-before-seen production exploring hope and inspiration, love and laughter, hardship and perseverance, reflection and celebration. This magical experience will take guests on an odyssey of life’s cherished moments, as told through the lens of Disney stories, music, and multimedia effects. The show celebrates each stage of life and the importance of time with loved ones. Six wonderous chapters showcase 150 Disney characters and almost 40 Disney and Pixar stories.

The show starts by celebrating the joyful innocence of tiny infants and the tender moments as you meet Tarzan and Kala, Dumbo, and Riley from Inside Out. Throughout the chapters, you’ll meet Wendy from Peter Pan, Jasmine and Aladdin, Eric and Ariel, Scar from The Lion King and the Evil Queen and Snow White from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Continue the journey through the chapters of the Time of Your Life, Time for Change, Sweetest Moments, Test of Time, Time to Remember. The chapters culminate in a spectacular grand finale, an empowering celebration of the moments that define the Disney characters.

Various technologies and shows will bring the Castle of Magic Dreams to life. The Castle is at the center of the story and morphs into various magically transitioning images as the chapters progress. The moat seemingly comes alive with animation, water fountains, lighting, and extraordinary special effects. Dramatic lighting, pyrotechnics, and various illuminations add a touch of ‘fairy dust’ to the performance. As with all Disney productions, beautiful music compilations are the heartbeat of the performance, with playful, inspiring, mischievous, heartwarming, and scary melodies that evoke emotion.

Momentous is set to become the not-to-be-missed iconic nighttime event in Hong Kong. Families can enjoy delicious desserts from the characterful buffet in the Starliner Diner before the show. Meet your favorite Disney friends at the Enchanted Garden Restaurant or enjoy a picnic under the stars on the lawn. Various souvenirs are available from the park and hotel shops. The show is set to run five evenings each week.
