Celebrate Hello Kitty’s 50th Anniversary At Harbour City, Hong Kong

Hello Kitty is celebrating its 50th anniversary worldwide in style, partnering with Harbour City in Hong Kong as the “International Friendship Ambassador” for an unforgettable celebration. From January 25 to February 25, visitors can explore five captivating experiential zones, including thematic installations, art exhibitions, pop-up stores, and a chance to meet the Hello Kitty designer, Ms. Yuko Yamaguchi. The event aims to “Friend the Future” and all proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary Event Highlights

• Visit the Parade Performance & Lion Dance Garden at the Ocean Terminal Forecourt: The installation features three parade floats led by Hello Kitty, like the “Classic Apple-shaped Float” driven by Mimmy, Hello Kitty’s sister, and the main float called the “Apple Wishing Garden.” The garden showcases a 5-meter-tall red Hello Kitty Daruma and eight smaller Darumas. Visitors can insert Hello Kitty coins into a gashapon machine on the giant Daruma’s back to receive charming Hello Kitty Daruma capsules. The garden also features pink apple trees, a Hello Kitty-shaped swing, and a bow-shaped swing. Open 10am-10pm.
• Check out the Every Flower Tells A Story Art Exhibition and pick up some exclusive merchandise at Gallery By The Harbour, Shop 207, Ocean Center: showcasing the diverse charm of Hello Kitty through various art forms and features limited-edition Hello Kitty art sculptures created in collaboration with Bull & Stein as well as other works of art. The exhibition also offers limited-edition merchandise for sale, making it a must-visit for Hello Kitty fans. Open 11am-10pm.
• Drop by the Hello Kitty X Kee Wah Bakery for candies and cookies at Shop 226, Ocean Center: adorned with adorable pink decor, you can pick up your “HAPPY 50” Candies & Cookies Gift Boxes. Customers can choose pre-made gift boxes or customize their own by selecting the style and visiting the candy bar to pick their favorite candies and cookies, including special Hello Kitty-themed treats. Open from 11am-9pm.
