The annual New World Harbour Race in Hong Kong is set to make waves again on November 10th, 2024, under the vibrant theme “SPLASH AND SHINE!” This year, the event introduces a new Companion option, enabling family and friends to swim together!
The race can accommodate up to 4,000 swimmers across two main categories: Racing and Leisure. The journey begins at the Golden Bauhinia Square Public Pier in Wan Chai and culminates at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui. The Racing category features the Open Group and the prestigious 11th Asian Open Water Swimming Championships, which invites up to three male and three female athletes from each Asian country or region to compete in a challenging 5-kilometer race.
This year, the Leisure Group has expanded its inclusivity, allowing participants as young as 12 to enter the race with a Companion. This new feature enables younger swimmers to experience the thrill of open-water swimming in a supportive and familial setting.
Registration is now open until August 26th, 2024, and entry is free of charge!
