WestK FunFest is back for 2025 and promises three weeks filled with exciting activities for all ages! This year’s festivities include a spectacular circus extravaganza, an enchanting outdoor Pierrot mime performance inside a transparent bubble tent, and a unique durational performance by talented Hong Kong children. Families can also enjoy an inclusive, multi-sensory theatre experience specially designed for children with specific needs.
From March 21 to April 27, 2025, the WestK Harbourfront will transform into a vibrant hub for creativity as live artists take residency, creating a dynamic space for collaboration and artistic exchange. Enjoy free pop-up performances around the Art Park and participate in a special interactive introduction to Cantonese opera at the Xiqu Centre.

Pollinator
March 21 – April 21, 2025Pollinator is a live artist residency transforming the area into a temporary home for artists, fostering creative exchange and collaboration. This unique live artist residency features a giant wheel connecting multiple structures, where artists will live and work together. Visitors can watch as local and international artists, including the innovative US duo Alex Schweder and Ward Shelley, collaborate, create, and perform in this interactive space. The artists will share their work and engage with park visitors at scheduled times, offering a rare glimpse into their creative process and community living experiment. Free of charge and no ticket is required!

Tea House Theatre Family Experience
March 29 - 30, 2025Experience the magic of Cantonese opera with the Tea House Theatre Family Experience, a 90-minute interactive showcase perfect for all ages. Young performers from the Tea House Rising Stars Troupe bring this traditional art form to life through captivating excerpts from classic and original productions. Audiences will enjoy demonstrations of singing, acting, martial arts, and traditional music, all while savoring authentic tea and dim sum. An expert narrator guides viewers through the rich heritage and techniques of Cantonese opera, making this cultural journey both entertaining and educational for the whole family.

La Bulle
April 11 - 13 & 18 - 21, 2025This April, the Art Park welcomes the enchanting performance La bulle (The Bubble) by the renowned Canadian dance theatre company CORPUS. This award-winning mime show features a solitary Pierrot, played by artistic director David Danzon, inside a transparent bubble. Through a mesmerizing blend of mime, dance, text, and drawing, Pierrot creates magical connections with the audience, exploring themes of human connection, solitude, and imagination. Wonderbox

Time Keeps The Drummer
April 18 - 27, 2025Time Keeps The Drummer is a unique durational performance created by UK-based Fevered Sleep in collaboration with WestK and twelve local children aged 8-11. This five-hour interactive show explores the concept of time through playful movement, dance, and bold visuals, accompanied by live drummer Dean Li and an original sound installation. Inspired by Hong Kong’s diverse time schedules, the performance invites audiences to reflect on their perception of time in creative ways. Visitors can come and go as they please!

Anchored In Memory
April 19-20, 2025As the sun sets over Victoria Harbour, experience Anchored in Memory, a captivating site-specific performance that brings Aberdeen’s boat dweller community to life. This free event, curated by Arts Impact Fellowship awardee Kenny Leung Kim-fung, transforms personal stories and oral histories into an immersive blend of dance, music, and sound installations. Offering a poignant glimpse into a vanishing way of life, this unique performance invites audiences to explore the rituals and challenges of Hong Kong’s traditional boat dwellers. No registration is required; simply gather at the Secret Garden entrance 10 minutes before showtime for this unforgettable cultural journey.
