Thanks to Virtually Versailles, the virtual exhibit brought to you jointly by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Palace Of Versailles in celebration of the French May Art Festival, you can now “visit” this majestic French icon of history without leaving the territory. The Palace of Versailles, commissioned by the Roi-Soleil or Sun King, Louis XIV, as his royal residence, is now a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the top tourist destinations in France and perhaps globally. Virtually Versailles, taking residence at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum for a short time only until July, allows you to explore the Hall of Mirrors, the beautifully manicured French gardens, and even peek into Marie-Antoinette’s bed chamber.
