Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has just launched the exciting “THE MONSTERS × Hong Kong International Airport” event in collaboration with renowned Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, creator of the globally beloved THE MONSTERS aka Labubu series. This celebration, marking the 10th anniversary of the series, kicks off its world tour with HKIA as the first stop, transforming the airport into an artistic wonderland for millions of travelers.
Event Highlights
- World’s Largest KING MON Installation: Standing at an impressive 7 meters tall, this exclusive sculpture of KING MON is located in the Departures Hall (Level 7, behind Row F). The installation, featuring KING MON holding a paper airplane and wearing an “HKG” T-shirt, symbolizes its Hong Kong origins and marks the start of its global journey.
- Photo Spots with LABUBU & ZIMOMO: Four whimsical 1.5-meter-tall installations of LABUBU and ZIMOMO are scattered throughout the Departure Level (Level 6, restricted area), styled with travel-inspired accessories like suitcases and shopping bags. These playful setups, paired with photo walls featuring Kasing Lung’s original hand-drawn illustrations, create the perfect backdrop for travel memories.
- Limited-Edition Collectibles: From September 25 to October 15, a special promotional campaign will offer travelers the chance to win a limited-edition LABUBU@HKIA vinyl toy. Styled in HKIA’s signature colors and holding a boarding pass labeled “HKG to Monster Land,” this collectible is a must-have for fans and travelers. Additional THE MONSTERS-themed souvenirs, including exclusive stickers, are also available.
