It’s no coincidence that so may nursery rhymes feature horses (Ride a Cockhorse to Banbury Cross, Horsey Horsey Don’t You Stop, 20 White Horses….you get the picture). Kids love horses, and at the Umalas Equestrian Resort just outside Seminyak children can indulge this passion.
The stables offer an array of riding experiences for children, from a 10-minute easy ride around the paddocks, to learning how to show jump, dressage or even attend a riding camp during the school holidays. There’s a playground for the really young ones who aren’t quite ready to get on a horse, and a restaurant (Lestari Grill and Pasta) and swimming pool for those who have no intention of getting on a horse!
It gives kids the chance to have a ride on well looked after horses in a beautiful setting among the rice paddies or the beaches of Bali.
Any child who has the confidence to take the reins, but probably best suited for 4 years +.
The stables also have 5 bedrooms for guests who want to make a vacation out of it and really practice their riding skills.
