The Creamery in Canggu is not your ordinary ice-cream shop. This little ice-cream ‘lab’ serves up made to order ice-cream that is concocted right in front of you. Like something out of George’s Marvellous Medicine, the gelato base is mixed with liquid nitrogen in a blender to create a fabulous cloud of vapor and hey presto! within a minute you’ve got your own personalized ice cream. Ice cream flavours go from the weird to the wonderful with red velvet cake chunks, topped with berry sauce and ‘Rocky Jalan’ – a combination of vanilla or chocolate ice cream with marshmallow chunks, Snickers candy bar chunks, mixed nuts, topped with chocolate sauce.
The ice cream sandwiches are also a big hit with the kids and adults.
